Yesterday night I grab my phone on my way out the door. As I look down to see if I have any missed calls or messages, I see a picture and a text from Adrienne's boyfriend, John. I like surprises, but DANG MAN. I call A, no answer, so I call Beth and she's just as confused as I am. We thought this might happen, but on a Tuesday? During my Chik-fil-a run and Beth's treadmill run? Good one John. You tricked not one, but THREE Forrer girls. You might just make it in this family after all :)
Don't worry, he didn't tell my Dad through text. He knows better. |
But in all seriousness. It is hard to believe what can happen in a year. This June will mark 1 year since Adrienne had her stroke. Time stood still for our family as we waited around on news from the Doctors. The guy that took her to the ER that day? John. He was there by her side everyday with encouragement and support. I think the whole "in sickness and in health" portion of their vows will be a breeze for him :) God works in mysterious ways and like my Aunt says, has a great sense of humor. I think Adrienne is a living example that if you trust in God during times of uncertainty, he will take care of you.
I love you Shaster and I am so happy for y'all. You deserve all the happiness in the world.
Now let's get to planning-I've got lots of ideas I need to get on paper!
