Last night as I was unpacking I was browsing through the crazy channels of Bright House Cable and saw The Passion of the Christ was playing. I have yet to see it, so I decided what better time than Holy Week to be my first time. I started watching as Jesus stood before Pilate and the crowd-who demanded Jesus be crucified. Pilate was just as awful as I imagined. As the guards beat Jesus I was infuriated. These guards were scared of what Jesus represented so they mocked him. I busted out the Bible and followed along-as they approached the hill and threw Jesus on the Cross I started sobbing uncontrollably. He asks forgiveness for these men who are driving stakes into his feet and hands.
How undeserving are we?
Have you taken the time to think about what this week represents?
Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?”
